Our Vision

Daymark Pastoral Counseling seeks to reflect the light of the Gospel and the counsel of Scripture to assist believers toward depth, maturity and restoration of relationship with God and one another.

Daymark Pastoral Counseling utilizes a biblical or pastoral orientation toward counseling.  Although we understand and learn from contemporary counseling theory we look to the wisdom that comes from God's Word to guide us in dealing with human problems.  In addition, we aim to point people to a person, Jesus our Redeemer, and not to a program, theory, or experience as a way to facilitate change.  We believe the ultimate source of human change rests in the transforming power of the Redeemer.

Sliding Scale

Daymark Pastoral Counseling is a non-profit organization (501C3) that solicits and receives contributions to help scholarship those who benefit from our sliding scale. We want our counseling resources to be accessible to those who need them. We provide a sliding scale because there are those who cannot afford the going rate for counseling in the Birmingham area. As much as is humanly possible, we want each individual to make an equal sacrifice, rather than an equal payment, in what he or she contributes for their counseling. If you are unable to contribute the amount indicated below, please bring that to our attention so we can work with you.
